The bio of your
Naturopathic Nutritionist

Gosh where to begin!!! I think probably my feelings of taking care of my body and health came from losing my mum when I was a child. She was an amazing woman and an amazing mum. Whilst not a nutritionist she instinctively guided us toward the garden for our food, I was the kid at school with the carrot sticks and soup thermos and my word did she batch cook... but I was 12 she was gone.

This was very difficult but I came out fighting from this and forged a successful career in finance. This was an exciting time, I was young, keen and focused. I worked very long hours, drank copious amounts of coffee, travelled extensively and didn’t often give much thought to my health. I felt I didn’t have time. It was an exhilarating time but blimey was I tired.

Once my girls came along my priorities shifted and I wanted to spend more time with them and get back down to earth. I worked in a specialist health retreat and this experience just ignited a passion for health through the science of nutrition. Not long after I enrolled with the College of Naturopathic Medicine and undertook three years of study in naturopathic nutritional therapy of which I graduated with distinction.

And then... 4 month into my course my 3 year old daughter became poorly. She started to wet the bed uncontrollably and excessively and had this insatiable thirst. I knew immediately she had Type 1 Diabetes (I had covered the condition in a lecture a few months prior!) fate. I was able to get her the help she needed quickly and we have been on the Type 1 journey ever since. Find out more about Diabetes

Helping people has always felt innate for me... I would love to hear more about you.
